How about some good news???

There is no question that we are living in a time of uncertainty.  We can’t control some of the unprecedented unknowns and subsequent consequences on markets and people, but here is what we can do.  We can look at facts and we can focus on what we do know.

Here’s what we know.  Boulder always responds to adversity the right way.  The Boulder area is one of the happiest, healthiest, most amazing places to live. Boulder real estate has a proven track record of being an incredible investment.  In fact, through the darkest days of the 2008 recession, the Boulder housing market was stable before making an incredible recovery.  Together, we will do this again.

Sure, nervous sellers may pull their listings off the market temporarily. Some buyers may not be ready to commit to a new home this week. These are temporary issues, and with mortgage rates at all-time lows and low inventory in our market, we believe these setbacks will be just that:  temporary.   Our Colorado Landmark agents have closed several homes this week alone.  The beauty of real estate:  everyone needs a place to live.  And people want to live in the Boulder area.

Nationally, experts are telling us this is NOT a housing crisis like we experienced in 2008.  There are, in fact, marked differences. Americans are not over-leveraged in their homes and many have even gained incredible equity. Additionally, the lending systems are strong. So strong, in fact, the Goldman Sachs GDP forecast is predicting gains heading into the second half of 2020 and beginning of 2021.  Remember, an economic recession does NOT equal a housing crisis.

Colorado Landmark’s Commitment

Since 1977, Colorado Landmark, Realtors has committed to and delivered excellence, trust and leadership in service of our beloved Boulder community.  Over the past 43 years, we have been through everything together, and today our community, our industry and our society face a new challenge in the COVID-19 pandemic.  We are committed to protecting the safety of our people, serving our community and emerging as leaders as never before.

Of course, this may mean some changes in the way we work. The way we share and communicate and the ways in which we continue to deliver our incredible value to our marketplace.

In turn, we are raising the bar in regard to cleanliness, staff scheduling and workplace flexibility. We are adapting, using technology such as Zoom Meetings, video showings, Matterport virtual tours, virtual open house, and other ways to communicate and support our clients with their real estate and at-home needs.

Out of adversity always comes prosperity for those who honor their values and build on opportunities. Therefore, our team is working on several new initiatives for our clients.

  • Landmark Advantage Program: A program designed to assist sellers with preparing their homes for sale, with no cost to them until closing.
  • Transitional HELOC program: A program designed to help clients who would prefer to buy their next house before they sell their current one.
  • At-home Suite: A suite of services like digital appraisals, virtual buyer and seller consultations, home improvement ideas and more.

Colorado Landmark, Realtors is here for you in this time of uncertainty, and most importantly want you to know that we are excited for what the future will hold after this reset. We believe the new future will place an increased importance on authenticity, transparency and local expertise, and Colorado Landmark is poised and ready to lead our market and our community.
